the brand spankin' new layout of cracked is atrocious and people are finding more and more bugs like disappearing comments and stuff. i hate it when websites that are perfectly navigable and have no problems have to 'modernize' and even worse when the update looks horrible and unfinished and acts buggy as hell. i stopped visiting collegehumour altogether because they updated their look and removed the extras that people liked. i knew all good things must come to an end when i first saw that they had stopped craptions in an earlier major update. pretty soon the old time authors will move on, topics will shift, members will migrate somewhere else, and cracked will be unrecognizable in a few years.
not to mention their disastrous attempts at writing about social issues without any experience or credentials and the fact that it's an effing comedy site and that they don't have to follow every damn trend. it's gone from lighthearted tomfoolery into bitter sarcastic passive aggressive ranting with a hate-filled joke here and there and incapable commenters who all must be 14.
and so comes the end of an era, it was nice knowing Cracked. i'll never forget laughing my ass off at craptions. back in '08. they have completely removed the craptions archives in this update.
ill make Cracked a gravestone and have an internet funeral.

you mean to tell me there's going to be a slumdog millionaire 2? why and how would it be possible to make that into a sequel? that would be as pointless as there being another saw movie made. or making a movie out of another stephen king book.

i couldnt get past 30 minutes of "Across The Universe". it doesnt matter what the time period is, people of all shapes and sizes and colors exist so dont give me any of that "it was the 60s something something white people" like they were in different parts of the world but this movie is filed under a category i like to call "white supremacist utopia" where no matter where you are in the world its all white people AKA "tolkien-ing" or "the jetsons fantasy". exclusion aside this movie was bland nonetheless and its like 20 minutes of glee-ifying beatles songs and the rest is droning storyline. its so bad i cant even write how bad it is because i will die or boredom if i do. take a look yourself if you dont believe me.

Watchmen is one of the most underrated movies, i've never read the comic but everyone that has says the movie is pretty loyal to the story. the coloring was very comic book-y and awesome, "it rains on the just and unjust alike". they were very well cast (no famous celebrity shoe-ins). and it was just an excellent picture overall, high quality and the like. they all have their backstories that the movie takes its time telling, and it conveyed the fact that manhattan is an insufferable dick pretty well. as you can tell i don't like manhattan, he was human five minutes ago and now hes all "ive walked across the sun and omg humans are so dumb im gonna go create life in another universe and do the equivalent of jack and shit about the millions that died on my behalf bye". and you can help but juxtapose rorschachs brutality and night owls cowering. most of all i love the fact that it shows superheroes as people, who need breaks and have lives and have to make difficult choices and are not annoyingly invincible (save for one) and *gasp* they get old and retire and have sucky regretful lives just like everyone else. 10/10 unless i change my mind or notice something but the beginning montage thing was awesome, it gives a look into the previous generation of heroes and explains the titles of the legacy heroes (silk spectre II and night owl II).

i saw 1/4 of iron man 3 today it follows the 'surviving a direct bombing and other heavy impact that would leave you as a quadriplegic or just plain dead' trope it has a lot of funny moments that come naturally, not so much in a comic relief way it is one of the first blockbusters ive seen this decade that effectively deals with triggers (wreck it ralph was the other one) and PTSD and what it means to survive something, tony stark is still human and still bears scars of the avengers battle thingy. i like that more and more superheroes have a more human side to them nowadays
i really hate superman and dr manhattan and all those over powered boring ass super dudes that are flawless ugh. theres no point to an invincible superhero. manhattan is the worst he can atomically disassemble himself nothing can ever kill him and he can do interstellar travel why does anyone care about him
thinking about manhattan gives me an existential crisis ozymandias the smartest man in the world couldnt kill him
i have a beef with ozys plan for world peace too. so i think the claim that hes the smartest man in the world is false. this will probably have its own thread. sorry guys
but yeah watch iron man 3 its cool so far
