Logical reasoning by the person doing the action and the person receiving the action will dictate what happens. If an action is used against an npc or an object then the admin will decide what happens unless it something mundane like picking a lock (if the lock is magic or extremely hard you will be informed but may not take in character action with this information).
Characters will be posted at the beginning of the game. It will follow suite like this:
Character Name
Kingdom Ruled Over
Attitude/Characteristics (of personality or physical)
Special Powers
Strengths
Weaknesses
Companions (if any)
Kingdoms Allied With (if any; Maximum of two kingdoms[start with no allied kingdoms and you must agree with the ruler of that kingdom to become allies]
Equipment
Any time modifications must be made you will need to modify your character info post accordingly.
Drama will also be a factor in this game. If something would cause drama or deepen storylines then it will be accepted even if logically it should be impossible. Example: One man stand against an army of 70,000. He will not win but he will be able to achieve an amazing feat such as keeping them all at bay while his friends escape or he is able to use guerilla tactics to decimate 1/4 of the enemy before either falling and dying or narrowly escaping with his life.
Conflicts will be handled as such: The attackers will be able to list an initial action and the broad reaction to the action. Example: Red army attacks Blue capital. They say "I send 20,000 troops to attack Blue Capital. The walls of the Capital are torn down and we both suffer great casualties." They do not get to say what the number for both sides is but they do get to say the size of the number. Blue can then say "I suffer 11,400 casualties and Red army suffers 10,000. My North wall was torn down but the others still stand." Then Blue proceeds to say his action and the initial reaction. "Blue army counters by releasing 400 ogres into the Red army ranks and shooting fire arrows at them. We group around the east and west wall. The ogres keep the army at bay for enough time to get the King out of the castle and on his way into safe territory" Red then says " After two hours the ogres are slain and I suffer 700 casualties."
Now keep in mind that this example was extremely simplified. In a real battle you would work on more minute things such as "My archers shoot fire arrows at the Red army supplies to ignite gunpowder." and things like that.
Also, things that depend entirely by chance or the environment will be told by admin as stated above so keep that in mind when fighting. All characters of one of the kingdoms being used by a player will be controlled by that player if they are brought up in the story by somebody else. (And you will want to bring them up becuase although your object is to win you also want to tell a good story so don't make it boring.) All characters in a kingdom not being used will be controlled by admin.
One last thing: Please refrain from trying to kill people with names. If they are given a name then they are likely important to the player who made them and should onnly be killed if it hightens drama greatly or if it seems they are nearing the end of interest anyways.
